The duo of John Paul Scaduto and Brett Lawhon from West Side Rowing Club punched their ticket to the finals at the 132nd Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Catharines, Ont.

By finishing third in their semifinal heat with a time of 6:54.883, they advance to the U23 Men’s Double Final, which is today.

The pair also advanced to the semifinals in the Senior Men’s Double, taking third in their heat with a time of 7:08.563.

Also advancing to semifinals from West Side Rowing Club were two boats in the U17 Men’s 8-plus event.

The boat of Matthew O’Connor, Jackson Liszewski, August Cudeck, David Gee, Robert Beaulieu, Christopher Navarro, Eric Szafranski, Charles Pratt and coxswain Peter Ruch placed third in their heat with a time of 6:34.052.

The boat of Joshua Cheston, Hugh Brown, Canaan Delgado, Landon MacDonald, Michael Taraboletti, Benjamin Spencer, Michael Shrader, Jack Grant and coxswain Jonathan Waefhling also took third in their heat with a time of 6:56.501.

The regatta continues through Sunday.
