So far, so good for the University at Buffalo’s women’s soccer team.

The Bulls (2-0-0) downed Canisius, 2-0, at home in their second straight game against a Big Four opponent on Sunday. UB defeated St. Bonaventure at home on Friday.

Megan Abman and Celina Carrero scored for Buffalo, which had a 36-11 edge in shots while turning in a dominating performance. Laura Dougall had her second straight shutout.

“I can’t be more pleased with this weekend and the overall team performance,” said first-year UB head coach Shawn Burke. “Every player that we have asked to step in and play has performed for us and that’s a great luxury to have.”

The Bulls have won their first two games for the first time since 2011, when they went 3-0.
