The University at Buffalo men’s basketball team hosts Delaware State today (2 p.m., Radio 1270 AM) in Alumni Arena.

The Hornets (1-4) have dropped their last four. They are coming off an 80-70 home loss to Delaware last Monday. Center Kendall Gray had a career-high 19 points.

Buffalo has won its last two games to improve to 2-2. They are coming off an 81-66 victory over Robert Morris on Tuesday. All five Buffalo starters scored in double figures, led by Javon McCrea’s 18 points.

The Hornets and Bulls have met four times in their history, most recently during the 2006-07 season. The series is tied at 2-2.

Meanwhile, the Niagara men’s basketball team continues its six-game road trip today when it visits Northwestern State (4 p.m., Radio 1520 AM).

The Purple Eagles (1-5) continue south for a game against Arkansas State on Dec. 2 before returning to Western New York for a home MAAC weekend.

Today’s matchup pits two teams on losing streaks. The Purple Eagles have lost four straight while the Demons (2-3) have lost three.

NU’s Antoine Mason leads the nation in scoring with 31.3 points per contest and has scored at least 30 points in five of six games.
