Niagara basketball nonconference schedule released

The Niagara men's basketball program has announced the nonconference portion of its 2009-10 schedule.
The highlight is when the Purple Eagles open their season Nov. 13 at Auburn as part of the Glenn Wilkes Classic.
Niagara has three home games among its 12 nonconference contests, including its home opener Nov. 17 against Drexel. Big 4 rivals UB (Dec. 9) and St. Bonaventure (Dec. 22) also have visits to the Gallagher Center scheduled.
Noticeably absent from the Purple Eagles' schedule for the second year in a row is St. John's. The two schools have met 98 times since 1908, and did not play last season for the first time in 26 years.
