Bills sell out first three home games

NEWS SPORTS REPORTER

Story tools:

Three of the seven Buffalo Bills home regular season games are sold out, and season-ticket sales have topped 52,000, the team announced today.

Tickets are gone for the Bills' first three regular-season games: Sept. 20 vs. Tampa Bay, Sept. 27 vs. New Orleans and Oct. 11 vs. Cleveland.

The season ticket sales total stands at 52,134, which already would rank as the sixth highest total in team history. The Bills sold 56,011 season tickets last season, the second best total ever. This marks the first time since 1993 the Bills have had consecutive seasons of more than 52,000 season tickets sold. The team's highest season ticket total was 57,132 in 1992.

Tickets for the first three games sold out because Bills season ticket holders had the chance to buy group tickets on Saturday and individual-game tickets last Thursday and Friday.

Season-ticket sales will continue through Aug. 15, when the Bills hold their annual Kids Day promotion for the preseason game against the Chicago Bears.

The rest of the Bills' schedule at Ralph Wilson Stadium includes games Nov. 1 vs. Houston, Nov. 29 vs. Miami, Dec. 20 vs. New England and Jan. 3 vs. Indianapolis. The Bills play the New York Jets in Toronto on Dec. 3.
