Sabres send Gerbe back to AHL

The Buffalo Sabres sent left wing Nathan Gerbe down to their American Hockey League affiliate in Portland, Maine, today.
Gerbe registered one assist in six games with the Sabres. He has 14 goals and 10 assists with the Portland Pirates this season.
Buffalo will be in Boston to face the NHL-leading Bruins on Saturday at 1 p.m.
