The Cleveland Indians made it official today, informing Major League Baseball of their desire to terminate their Triple-A working agreement with the Buffalo Bisons after 14 seasons.

The move was expected ever since the Tribe declined to extend the deal on Buffalo's Opening Day in April. The teams' last four extensions have all come on the day of the season's first game in Dunn Tire Park.

The Tribe could not officially sever its ties with Buffalo until the Bisons' season ended, which it did with Monday's 9-6 loss at Rochester. It was the final game of a 66-77 campaign that was the Bisons' only losing record in 14 years with the Tribe.

The Indians are expected to move their Triple-A operation for next season to new Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio. The Bisons, meanwhile, are expected to sign with either the Toronto Blue Jays or New York Mets.

Teams can begin negotiating with new potential parents on Sept. 18.
