Leafs look at Mironov

Egor Mironov, a forward at Niagara University, is among 25 players invited to participate in the 2009 Toronto Maple Leafs Prospect Camp, which runs Sunday through July 10. The group includes two goalies, nine defense-men and 14 forwards.

The camp will be held at Lakeshore Lions Arena.

“This is just another chapter in Egor’s progression,” Niagara head coach Dave Burkholder said in a statement released by the school. “He has improved his game every year and this experience will help make his senior season his best at Niagara.”

Mironov, a native of Thornhill, Ont., is entering his senior year after posting career-highs in goals (16), assists (12) and points (28).
