Live from Sabres at Ottawa
OTTAWA -- I really need to learn French. I picked up the press clippings this morning to read over lunch, and half of them were in Francais. That's not good...

Loss to Sens is second nature

Updated: November 21, 2009 11:39 pm

OTTAWA — For the second straight game, the Sabres dominated a foe during the opening period. Then they completely fell apart. This time, it was their old nemesis — the Senators — who made them pay in the form of a 5-3 loss.

Heatley's gone but not forgotten in Ottawa

Updated: November 21, 2009 11:39 pm

OTTAWA — Dany Heatley, who forced a trade out of Ottawa, is still in the Senators' dressing room every day. He's not on the ice, though, and the Senators feel that will help them in the long run.

Game preview

Wow, Vanek looks off

Updated: November 20, 2009 10:25 pm

Thomas Vanek doesn't look quite right. The Sabres' perennial goal-scoring leader is tied atop the team's chart, but he's well behind the pace of his usual 40.

Skate's on the other foot for Bruins

Updated: November 20, 2009 10:25 pm

It doesn't take a stellar long-term memory to recall the Buffalo Sabres' last meeting with the Boston Bruins. It was less than two weeks ago. The Sabres staggered into Beantown for the second night of back-to-back games and trudged home with a 4-2 loss.

Panthers 6, Sabres 2

The Florida Panthers snapped the Buffalo Sabres' three-game winning streak, boring most of the 18,546 fans but earning them two precious points with a 6-2 victory.
