Daniel Jordan and James Palmer brought the Buffalo Scholastic Rowing Association its first Henley Gold.

They won the U19 Mens Pair final at the 132nd Royal Canadian Henley Regatta in St. Cathariens, Ontario on Saturday.

It’s the first gold for the club rowing it just its third Henley Regatta.

Jordan will be a senior at Canisius High School this fall and was named to the 2015 U.S. Junior Worlds Development Team. He attended the US Rowing Junior National High Performance Sweep Camp in 2013 and 2014.

The pair won the race in a time of 7:28.027 beating second-place Victoria City Rowing Club, which took silver in 7:33.535.

Meanwhile, West Side Rowing Club advanced one of its boats to today’s finals. The U17 Mens 4+ boat took third in its semifinal heat Saturday to earn a spot in today’s final at 1 p.m. Members of the boat included: Eric Szafranski, Robert Beaulie, August Cudeck, Charles Pratt and coxswain Peter Ruch.

Two other boats from West Side Rowing just missed advancing to their respective semifinals. The U23 Mens 4 and the U23 Womens 4 each finished third with the top two advancing.
