Honor Roll

• The American Chestnut Foundation presented Rich “The Bluebird Man” Wells its President’s Award. Foundation president Herb Darling cited Wells’ efforts at voluntarily managing the William W. White American Chestnut Plantation and the re-establishment of the American Chestnut tree into the American Hardwood forests in honoring him in this manner.

• During its Awards Dinner, the New York State Conservation Council gave Rick McDermott, founder of the NYS Crossbow Coalition, its Volunteer Conservationist AwaRoad The Livingston County Federation of Sportsmen’s Clubs received an Outdoor Education Program Award for conducting the Region 8 National Hunting and Fishing Day program.
