To celebrate the Buffalo Bills’ 50th anniversary, a limited edition of 2,009 commemorative regulation size red and white footballs featuring pictures of Trent Edwards and Terrell Owens, the team logo, and other embellishments of team heritage are being sold to raise money for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Buffalo. Buffalo Bills fan Donald Bartz of West Seneca was inducted into the Ultimate Fan Association at an Aug. 9 breakfast hosted by the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio.

. HOCKEY: A USA Special Hockey Team for young mentally challenged and disabled adults is being formed in Western New York. Some skating experience along with individual equipment is required. . ROWING: The Frank Lloyd Wright Boathouse will host a 2.5- mile Masters’ Regatta on the Black Rock Channel on Saturday from 9 a. m. to noon. Crews from Toronto, St. Catharines, Ont. and the West Side Rowing Club will start one at a time and race against the clock. The event can be viewed from the Fontana Boathouse Club, One Rotary Row. Parking is available at LaSalle Park on Porter Avenue. SOFTBALL: The North Buffalo Wildcats girls fast pitch travel teams (12U, 14U and 16U) will hold tryouts Saturday at noon at Shoshone Park.
