Niagara men’s hockey will get a nationally televised game this season.

The Purple Eagles travel to South Bend, Ind., to face Notre Dame for two non-conference games and will benefit from the television deal the Fighting Irish have with NBC. The Oct. 25 contest will be live on NBCSN while the game on Oct. 24 will stream on NBC Sports Live Extra.

Niagara also announced its captains for the 2014-15 season. Senior defenseman Kevin Albers and junior defenseman Matt Dineen will serve as captains while senior forward Isaac Kohls and sophomore forward TJ Sarcona will be assistant captains.

Albers is a second-year captain and has played in 94 games for the Purple Eagles. Dineen had a goal and four assists in 14 games as a sophomore. Kohls had career bests in goals (12) and points (24) last season while Sarcona’s 11 goals ranked fourth among rookies in Atlantic Hockey.
