The Section VI Swimming and Diving Championships conclude today. Orchard Park is expected to walk out of the Erie Community College Burt Flickinger Aquatic Center with the team title for the second year in a row. The Quakers are not only the best team in Section VI, but arguably the best in the state. Coach Art Aungst called his Quakers "the most versatile team I've ever had." (Updated: 02/09/10 12:45 PM )

The Clarence wrestling team added Saturday's Class AAAA Tournament title to its long resume of wins this season. Joelle Pollak's first basket from the field was an historic one Tuesday night. Her three-pointer with three minutes left in the first quarter broke the all-time Kenmore East scoring record for boys and girls in a 53-38 win at Niagara-Wheatfield. Pollak finished with 25 points, giving her 1,451 in her career, putting her ahead of the record set by Mike O'Bryan in 1993. (Updated: 02/03/10 1:15 AM )
