Quality hoops lineup tonight

Today’s lineup of boys basketball games might be light on quantity, but it is high in quality.

In the Monsignor Martin Association, No. 1 large school Canisius hosts No. 4 Bishop Timon-St. Jude at 7 p.m. Also at 7 is a Yale Cup battle between No. 2 small school East and No. 5 Middle Early College at ECC-City’s Flickinger Center.

There are also some good ECIC matchups among the dozen games scheduled tonight. In ECIC II, Williamsville East (9-4) hits the road in an attempt to score a season sweep of Sweet Home at 7 p.m.; in ECIC III, Cheektowaga plays No. 8 large school Amherst for the first time, 7:30 at Amherst.
