FC Buffalo goalkeeper Waleed Cassis remained perfect on the weekend as he backstopped his team to a 2-0 victory over the Cincinnati Saints on Sunday.

The shutout was the second of the weekend for Cassis, who helped the Blitzers to a 3-0 win over Cleveland on Friday.

Jeff Thomas scored two goals for Buffalo, both in the first half. On the first, he headed home a throw in. Later, he took a feed from Russell Cicerone, faked out some defenders and buried the ball in the net.

The victory moved FC Buffalo into fifth place in the Great Lakes conference with a 3-2-1 record.

The Blitzers will take the field again Wednesday against Fort Pitt Regiment at 7 p.m. at Birko Memorial Stadium in McKees Rocks, Pa.
