Fort Pitt Regiment had won only two games in the National Premier Soccer League’s Great Lakes Division before meeting FC Buffalo twice in a period of four days. The Regiment won both, capping the sweep with a 4-0 triumph on Sunday at the Canisius College Demske Sports Complex. Fort Pitt had defeated Buffalo, 5-2, on Thursday in McKees Rocks, Pa.

Sunday’s outcome moved Regiment (3-3-2) ahead of Buffalo (3-4-1) in the division standings.

Lamine Balde, Andrew Luchin, Andrew Miller and Ryan Villela scored second-half goals as Regiment won its third straight game.

FC Buffalo will be on the road at Cleveland on Friday and on Sunday at Lansing. The team’s next home game will be against Fort Pitt at 2 p.m. on July 6.
