In response to “Michael Vick is a human being, dogs are pets,” well, that’s half right.

Millions of people consider their dog as a member of the family. Sickness and the death of the family dog can leave a family devastated and heartbroken. “Dogs are pets,” but much more.

On the other hand, Michael Vick made and squandered millions of dollars resulting in filing for bankruptcy. He will now get a second chance to make more millions.

The dogs he bankrolled never got a second chance at life. Their deadly outcome was scripted by the biggest animal of them all, Vick, the human being. Maybe a second chance is too much.
