Alex Iafallo of Eden, a freshman forward for Minnesota Duluth, scored twice and had an assist during the No. 20 Bulldogs’ 5-1 win over Colorado College late Saturday night.

Those are the first three points of Iafallo’s collegiate career. The former Buffalo Regal, who played juniors in the USHL at Fargo last season, scored UMD’s opening goal in the first period and then made it 4-1 at 5:23 of the third period.

• In Ontario Junior Hockey League action, the Buffalo Junior Sabres routed host Newmarket, 7-2. Nick Desimone, Dylan Gamble and Nico Gonzalez each had a goal and an assist, while Pat Egan had three assists in the win. Brandon Mueller finished with 34 saves for Buffalo (10-3-1), which returns to action Tuesday at home at Northtown Center in Amherst against Orangeville at 7:30 p.m.
