Army 44, Tulane 13: Collin Mooney ran for 187 yards and four touchdowns as Army warmed for next Saturday’s game at the University at Buffalo with its first win in five games. Army had scored just 37 points coming in, but forced four turnovers and returned two for TDs.

Cornell 25, Lehigh 24: Nathan Ford threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Jesse Baker on the last play of the game to send the Big Red to 3-0.

Akron 30, Kent State 27 (2 OTs): Igor Iveljic kicked three field goals, including a 25-yarder in the second overtime, for the Zips (3-3).

Navy 33, Air Force 27: Navy blocked two punts for touchdowns and Matt Harmon tied a school record with four field goals and the Midshipmen beat Air Force for a sixth straight time. This gives the Midshipmen (4-2) a leg up in their quest for a sixth straight Commander-in- Chief’s Trophy, an annual competition between Army, Navy and Air Force for service academy supremacy. They play Army in the last game of the season.

Notre Dame 28, Stanford 21: Jimmy Clausen threw for a career-high 347 yards and three touchdown passes in the Irish’s seventh straight victory over the Cardinals.

West Virginia 24, Rutgers 17: Pat White threw two touchdown passes and moved into second place on the NCAA’s career rushing list for quarterbacks. But he left the game late in the third quarter with a head injury.

Western New York connection

Cent. Connecticut St. 45, Wagner 10: James Mallory (Kenmore West) finished with 75 yards on 23 carries for the Blue Devils (3-2).
