The time also lowered UB's IC4A qualification mark. Rob Golabek (Frontier) finished second but broke the men's record in the shot put at 59-7.75, adding 5 inches to the mark he set last week.

Monday’s games

The Medaille men's basketball team narrowly escaped with a home victory against Mount Aloysius in early January, but not on Sunday. The Mavs lost, 65-64, to Mount Aloysius in snowy Cresson, Pa. There were nine ties and 12 lead changes in the game. Keith Hack led the Mavericks with 16 points. Despite the loss the Mavs (20-2, 15-2) remained in first place in the Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference.
