Updated: 05/05/08 6:38 AM Buffalo State’s bid to win the SUNYAC softball championship fell short in a 3-1 loss to Cortland in a game played in Plattsburgh. Cortland, which had just three hits, plated all three runs in the bottom of the third capitalizing on a walk, an error and a two-run homer. Buffalo State scored first on a RBI by Karen Oste (Maple Grove) in the top of the second inning.
