The Lou Reuter Memorial Scholarship run will be raced over a new course when it takes place at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 20. The fourth annual mile run/walk and 5K will start at Ben Franklin Middle School and finish on the track within Adams Field passing the Lou Reuter press box. Proceeds will go to the Lou Reuter scholarship fund.
Reuter was an extremely dedicated teacher, coach and member of the Kenmore Town of Tonawanda Board of Education. The scholarship will be presented to a Kenmore East senior who demonstrates community service, school spirit and finishes in the top 40 percent of his or her their class.

BASEBALL: Erie Community College will celebrate the past few decades of ECC baseball on Sunday at on the North Campus baseball field. The Kats will face Mercyhurst-North East in a noon doubleheader. Head coach Joe Bauth will honor his former players in-between games. Refreshments will be served in between games and each alumnus will receive an ECC baseball T-shirt.
