Registration for Hasek’s Heroes, a program centered on providing children in-need who reside within the city of Buffalo (ages 4-16) with an opportunity to learn to skate and play ice hockey, will take place this Wednesday, 3—7 p.m. at Riverside Park Ice Rink on Niagara Street, and Thursday, 3—7 p.m. at Cazenovia Park Ice Rink. All equipment, ice time, instruction and academic support are free.

BASEBALL: The Buffalo Wings Travel Baseball program will hold tryouts for its summer 2014 10U team on Saturday. 3 p.m. at the Cazenovia Park Hidden Diamond in South Buffalo. The Wings are one of WNY’s oldest travel baseball organizations, and comprised of players from all areas of WNY. Prospective players may not turn 11 years old before May 1, 2014.
