The Lou Reuter Memorial Scholarship run will be raced over a new course when it takes place at 9:30 a.m. Sunday. The fourth annual mile run/walk and 5K will start at Ben Franklin Middle School and finish on the track within Adams Field, passing the Lou Reuter press box. Proceeds will go to the Lou Reuter scholarship fund.
Reuter was a dedicated teacher, coach and member of the Kenmore-Town of Tonawanda Board of Education. The scholarship will be presented to a Kenmore East senior who demonstrates community service, school spirit and finishes in the top 40 percent of his or her class.

BASEBALL: The New Era MUNY AAA League will be taking applications for teams interested in joining. The MUNY league was formed in 1912 and is the oldest amateur baseball league in the country. The league consists of the best amateur baseball players in Western New York.
