The Buffalo Stars hockey organization will conduct its annual food drive to benefit the Food Bank of Western New York. The 30-day drive will begin today and conclude at the Buffalo Stars annual Christmas party on Dec. 21 at Holiday Twin Rinks in Cheektowaga. Players will begin taking to the streets in search of non-perishable food items. All items will be collected and brought to Holiday Twin Rinks on Dec. 21 between 2-8 p.m. Visit the Buffalo Stars online at www.buffalostars.com.

BASKETBALL: The Total Package Sports Academy basketball clinic will be held on Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, at Tapestry Charter High School (65 Great Arrow Ave., Buffalo). There will be a morning session (9 a.m.-12 p.m.) for players in grades 5-6 and an afternoon session (1-4 p.m.) for players in grades 7-8 both days. HOCKEY: The Buffalo Stars mite cross rink team has two player openings for players of the 2006 or 2007 birth year. The team skates Wednesdays and Saturdays through February. INLINE HOCKEY: Buffalo Fusion hockey is searching for two travel roller hockey coaches for elite and minor teams for the 2013-14 American Inline Hockey League season. LACROSSE: The Niagara Frontier Lacrosse Officials Association is seeking candidates for its 2014 candidates class. Interested candidates may obtain an application at www.nfloa.org with a Dec. 15 deadline. The NFLOA officiates high school boys lacrosse in Section VI.
