The Western New York Baseball Hall of Fame will hold its annual Hot Stove Winter Social on Thursday, January 16 at 7 p.m., in Ilio DiPaolo’s, 3785 South Park Ave. in Blasdell. BASEBALL/SOFTBALL: The Jr. Thunderwolves youth program has limited openings for the 2014 summer baseball and softball Travel Teams. The teams are based out of Niagara County with teams at all ages 10U through 16U. Winter training is held at the Kenan Center in Lockport. BASKETBALL: Kelly for Kids Boys Non-high School Basketball Players league will be held at the Gloria J. Parks Communnity Center, 3242 Main St, Buffalo. The 18-U division will play Friday nights starting Jan. 10, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and the 15-U division will start on Jan. 11, 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The league is free and each league will consist of 8 teams. HOCKEY: The Buffalo Stars will offer a 14 session beginner program for boys and girls ages 4-9, starting Jan. 5, at Holiday Twin Rinks, Cheektowaga. Most sessions will be Wednesday and Saturday at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $149. Registration will be Jan. 5, 2 p.m. at Holiday Twin Rinks or at www.buffalostars.com.
