In a rematch between old friends, Serbian cruiserweight Milos Pantelic of Toronto had some difficulty with Florida’s Michael Bissett but stayed unbeaten by earning a split decision Thursday night at Buffalo Niagara Convention Center.

On Thursday, there were no knockdowns but Bissett (5-6) did his best to frustrate Pantelic by tying him up and keeping him from building any momentum. But Pantelic did enough to leave with the 58-56, 56-58, 58-56 win.

Three fights preceded this bout. In the first, Brandon Williams of Rochester defeated lightweight Phillip Nazzarrio (0-3) in a unanimous decision. The fight was scored 40-36 by all three judges.

In the next match, another Rochester fighter, Lavias Williams, earned a knockout win when DeWayne Wisdom suffered a shoulder injury.

In a women’s bantamweight bout between unbeatens, Michelle Cook of Massina and Alisha McPhee of Langley, British Columbia, settled nothing. The two battled to a majority draw.

In the final fight, Jonathan Gonzalez of Puerto Rico and Mike Ruiz of Fresno, Calif., battled to an eight-round majority draw.
