KENT, Ohio — The St. Bonaventure women’s basketball team has seen a lot of the Mid-American Conference lately, and it can’t complain too much about the results.
The Bonnies, who play in the Atlantic 10, finished up a three-game stretch against MAC squads, and won their second straight with a 61-44 win over host Kent State.
Bona improved to 10-4 on the season. St. Bonaventure beat the University at Buffalo earlier in the week; before that, it lost to Toledo.
Chelsea Bowker was good from long range for the Bonnies. She hit on five of eight three-pointers to account for all of her scoring from the field. Bowker added two free throws to finish with 17 points. Gabby Richmond finished with 13 points and Nyla Reuter added 10.
Montia Johnson led Kent State (3-8) with 17 points.
The Bonnies continue their road trip on Sunday at UNC Greensboro, where they play their final non-conference matchup of the season.
