Buffalo Bisons first baseman Jordan Brown, one of the team's most potent hitters for the first month of the season, was put on the disabled list Friday with a knee injury and replaced on the Herd's roster by former Cleveland Indians No. 1 draft pick Michael Aubrey.
Brown was batting .271 in 25 games for the Bisons with an International League-leading 11 doubles and 10 RBIs. He first injured his knee Sunday against Pawtucket and aggravated it during Thursday's win over Charlotte in Dunn Tire Park.
Aubrey, 26, will be making his Triple-A debut after enduring four injury plagued seasons in the Cleveland chain following his selection as the Tribe's top pick in 2003 out of Tulane University. Aubrey batted .277 this year at Double-A Akron with two homers and 16 RBIs. He hit safely in 22 of the Aeros' 24 games.
