Jay Cutler showed his Pro Bowl talent in the third quarter, putting the Broncos on his shoulders on a touchdown drive that put Denver ahead, 20-16.

Cutler hit 5 of 7 passes for 91 yards on the drive, which covered 84 yards in nine plays. (A sack and a Broncos penalty allowed Cutler to pass for more yards than the length of the drive.)

Cutler capped the march with a 6-yard run on a quarterback sweep out of the shotgun formation with 38 seconds left in the quarter. It was a well-designed play. The Broncos motioned a running back to the left, which drew Bills linebacker Kawika Mitchell inside. Tight end Daniel Graham sealed off Bills right end Copeland Bryan, and Cutler had a clear path to the left corner of the end zone.

Cutler finished with 359 yards passing and now holds the Denver single-season passing yardage record, with 4,210 yards. Even John Elway never reached that total.

No facemask: Trent Edwards wanted a facemask call on a shuffle-pass play to Fred Jackson. However, the officials made the right call. Incidental contact on a facemask is no foul this year.
