Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards connected on his first seven passes of the game. Unfortunately for the Bills, three of the three passes were caught by Cleveland Browns for interceptions.

Talk about taking the air out of the charged-up sellout crowd.

The first pickoff was a case of a bit of bad luck. Defensive tackle Shaun Rogers was double-teamed on the first play from scrimmage and didn’t get off the line – but he still made a play. His big hand batted the ball up and the deflection was picked off by Kamerion Wimbley.

The second pickoff was a bad decision. Edwards was going to the left middle for James Hardy but threw the ball behind him and it was intercepted by Andra Davis. The third was worse. Edwards stared down Robert Royal and Brandon McDonald made an easy pickoff.

Cleveland turned the turnovers into two field goals.

Wasted: The Bills got kickoff returns of 38 and 49 yards from Leodis McKelvin in the first quarter. They were set up with drive starts at their 44 and 49, respectively. The returns were squandered.
