Bills quarterback Trent Edwards traveled to Fort Lauderdale, Fla., earlier this month to work on his passing timing with receiver Lee Evans. Receivers Roscoe Parrish and Justin Jenkins also showed up for the three days of practice. Evans did not participate in team drills during spring practices due to minor offseason shoulder surgery, and Edwards wanted to get extra work in with his top target.

“It was just to get the timing, get the feel down,” Evans said. “We were actually working on a field with no lines, so it was really all timing, all feel. Trent has the right mentality. He’s getting better. Whatever I can do to help him take the next step, along with myself taking the next step, I want to do.”

“I was happy to get out there and spend some time with him besides the football part of it, just becoming closer off the field and getting to know him a little bit better,” Edwards said. “That’s all part of becoming a better football team and developing better chemistry.”
