The Buffalo Bandits have announced the signing of five players, including two veterans, in preparation for the upcoming season.

Transition players Kevin Brownell and Hayden Smith debuted in Buffalo in the 2013 season. Brownell had eight points in seven games, while Smith scored one assist in four games.

Kevin Pym and Eric Penney were both Bandits’ draft choices earlier this year. Pym, a transition player, went into the sixth round after playing for the Okotoks Raiders Junior A squad. Penney, a fifth-round choice, was a goaltender for the St. Catharines Athletics.

In addition, the Bandits signed free agent defenseman Colin Boucher to a two-year contract. Boucher, who is 6-foot-5 and 235 pounds, played for the Barrie (Ont.) Blizzard.

Elsewhere in the National Lacrosse League, the Colorado Mammoth signed former Canisius star and ex-rookie of the year Adam Jones to a five-year contract. Jones has scored 62 goals in his two seasons with Colorado.
