Ryan Fitzpatrick enters his second season with the Buffalo Bills and his sixth in the NFL. He's 8-14 as a starting quarterback and went 4-4 for the Bills last season. He and his wife, Liza, have two young sons, Brady and Tate. Here's his Q and A session:

Question: Your wife was an All-America soccer player for Harvard. You set the record for total offense at Harvard. Who had the better college career, you or she?

Answer: Liza, for sure. My older brother, Jason, was an All-American in swimming (at Notre Dame). My brother Brandon was an All-American in football (at Division I-AA Northern Arizona). So there's an All-American club in my house and I'm not in it. I met her at Harvard. We knew each other for a couple years. My junior year we started dating.

Q: It had to be a fun sports household as a kid.

A: There was a lot of competition growing up. We did every sport you could imagine. We were triathletes. We loved to do swimming, soccer, basketball, football, you name it. We competed in everything we did. My two older brothers are a year and a half older than me. They're twins. My younger brother is four years younger. He got beat up on a lot. It was great. Now it's pushed over to golf. Especially me and my little brother, we're very competitive. It's fun.

     Q: What's your handicap?

A: Higher than Trent's. I would say 13. I'm not great, but I love playing.

     Q: What are your hobbies?

A: I would say Apple is my main hobby. I've waited in line for every iPhone. Actually my wife woke up at 4:30 and went to the Galleria [Mall] to wait in line to get the new iPhone because I had practice. I waited in line for the iPad. I'm a bit of an Apple nut. My wife converted me. Her dad works at an Apple store in West Des Moines [Iowa].

     Q: What's your favorite app?

A: I'm a big Scrabble player on the IPad. That's probably my favorite app. I take a lot of videos on it, too.

Q: Did your family stay in Arizona this year?

A: This offseason everybody's been in Buffalo. We like living here, and the neighborhood we're in. We live out in Lake View. There's a million kids on the street. It really is nice for my wife and kids and for me not to be shipping back and forth every weekend to make time to see them. In July we go back to Arizona for a month before training camp.

Q: What's the most unexpected thing about being a parent?

A: That's a good question. I can just say I love being a parent. Being a dad is awesome. They were born with such unconditional love for their parents. You can never imagine how much love you have for kids until you have one.

Q: What is the last book you read?

A: Where Men Win Glory: The Odyssey of Pat Tillman, by Jon Krakauer.

     Q: Your favorite vacation spot?

A: Wherever family is. That's all we do at this point, whenever we get time off. We go wherever family is and visit.

     Q: Your favorite food?

A: My wife's King Ranch Chicken.

Q: What's the most underappreciated thing about playing NFL quarterback?

A: I would say the time commitment year-round. People know that quarterbacks work. But it's a lot of time for the few games we play.

Q: Your favorite NFL player as a kid?

A: I loved Jake Plummer growing up.

Q: What's the best concert you ever attended?

A: I went to a Taylor Swift concert in Toronto. I don't care if you print it or not. It was awesome. I was one of the only guys there. It was awesome.

     Q: Your favorite TV show?

     A: Modern Family.

     Q: Your favorite movie?

     A: Ironman.

Q: What's the coolest thing about going to Harvard?

A: I'd say the people. I got there and Al and Tipper Gore were helping their kid move into the dorm next to mine. The professors. All of a sudden, you watch TV and your professors are getting interviewed on TV shows. The people and the diversity is unreal.

Q: Name a famous person you'd most like to meet.

     A: Steve Jobs (Apple co-founder).
