Sabres stand pat on ticket prices
Updated: August 21, 2010, 8:26 AM
Buffalo Sabres fans won't have to dig any deeper than they did last year to attend a game.
The team announced on Tuesday it will not increase individual game ticket prices for the
2009-10 regular season.
The Sabres also announced their variable ticket pricing for individual games and the
creation of five new mini-packs.
In addition to the ability for fans to create their own personalized mini-pack by choosing
from five to 40 games, the team has also created new pre-packaged mini-packs. The packages
will consist of a minimum of five games.
These packages will range from select opponents (Original Six Pack) and specific days of
the week (Friday Pack, Weekend Pack) or variable pricing (Premium Pack, Sampler Pack).
Below is a listing of the new Sabres' pre-packaged mini-packs:
Premium Pack: Featuring all three Toronto games and two gold level games of
the buyer's choice.
Friday Pack: A selection of five Friday night games balanced throughout the
2009-10 season.
Sampler Pack: A sampling of five games consisting of a platinum, gold, silver,
bronze and value game.
Weekend Pack: A selection of five Saturday night games balanced throughout the
2009-10 season.
Original Six Pack: A package consisting of a game against each of the Original
Six NHL teams.
This season's variable pricing plan places games into five classifications: platinum, gold,
silver, bronze and value.
The Sabres' variable pricing list features two platinum games, both against the Toronto
Maple Leafs (Dec. 18 and Jan. 8).
There are nine gold games, 17 silver, nine bronze and four value games.
The opponents for the gold games are: Montreal, Toronto, New York Rangers, Carolina,
Chicago, Pittsburgh (twice), Boston and Philadelphia.
The 17 silver games feature Detroit, New York Islanders, Philadelphia, Calgary, Boston,
Washington, Ottawa, Atlanta, Colorado, Carolina, San Jose, Minnesota, Montreal, Ottawa, Tampa
Bay and the Rangers.
