Fans who want to witness every home game of the Buffalo Sabres' 40th season will pay more than

they did for the 39th.

The Sabres on Tuesday announced their season ticket prices for the 2010-11 campaign, with

costs going up in every section of HSBC Arena.

Seat prices will rise $1 to $4 per game — which equates to $41 to $164 for the

41-game package. It's an average increase of about 5 percent.

The largest increases ($4) are in the 200 Club Level and 100 Preferred Rinkside, which are

rising to $88 and $83 respectively. The package price for the 200 Club Level is $3,608 per

seat.

The 200 Club Ends ($71), 100 Level II Rinkside ($67) and 100 Level Preferred ($65) are

going up $3 per game.

The cheapest seats — 300 Levels III and IV — will increase by $1, to $22 per

game, which is $902 for the full package.

The Sabres said in their news release they have 16,500 season-ticket holders and a waiting

list of several thousand. The team sold out 30 of its 41 games last season.

The average attendance was 18,529 in the arena, which seats 18,690. The club's 99.1 percent

capacity ranked 13th in the 30-team NHL.

The Sabres will mail renewal invoices during the next week to 10 days. A 10 percent deposit

will be required by June 18.

A bonus for season-ticket holders involves the 2.5 percent rebate in the form of a

Sabrebucks card, which was introduced last season.

There was a 20-cent transaction fee for each use of the card, but the Sabres will waive

that fee this season to give fans the full amount of their rebate.

Season-ticket holders also will be able to purchase reduced rate parking.
