UB's Roosevelt will miss game with knee injury
Updated: August 21, 2010, 9:04 AM
OXFORD, Ohio — The University at Buffalo Bulls will be without their star player
Wednesday night when they take on Miami University. Senior wide receiver Naaman Roosevelt is
out with a knee injury, according to UB coach Turner Gill.
In last Tuesday's home loss to Ohio, Roosevelt scored three touchdowns and racked up a
career-best 165 receiving yards. He also aggravated a knee problem that's been bothering him
for awhile this season, according to UB sources.
The Bulls (3-7, 1-5 Mid-American Conference) have never won at Miami (Ohio). After Wednesday
the Bulls have one game remaining, at Kent State on Friday, Nov. 27. The Kent game would be
Roosevelt's last chance to add to his school-record 3,551 career receiving yards. On Monday
the St. Joe's product was named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the
Week for his performance against Ohio.
