Kapturowski makes quarterfinals in Junior Masters

Kyle Kapturowski, an Iroquois High School senior, advanced to the quarterfinals in the
championship flight at the East Auroara International Junior Masters with a 4-and-3 victory
over Nick Erlichman of Shrewsbury, Mass., today.
Kapturowski will face one of last year's semifinalists, Brendan Leonard, of Cambridge, Ont.,
in this afternoon's round.
The other local in the championship bracket, Austin Nowak of Lancaster, was beaten 1-up by
Ryan Werre of Redcliff, Alberta. Werre made up a two-hole deficit over the final four holes.
Colombian Enrique Velez Rodriguez made a hole-in-one in his morning match against Chris
Stegemann of Orchard Park. Rodriguez holed a 6-iron from 180 yards on the 13th hole.
