Bills will wear historic uniforms
Updated: August 21, 2010, 8:11 AM
The Buffalo Bills will wear throwback 1960s uniforms four times in the 2009 season.
This season marks the 50th season for the eight original American Football League teams. As
part of the celebration, the eight original AFL teams will wear historic uniforms during 16
"Legacy Games."
The Bills are involved in four of them. They are:
Aug. 9 vs. Tennessee at Canton, Ohio, for the Pro Football Hall of Fame game.
Sept. 14 at New England for the season opener on Monday Night Football.
Nov. 15 at Tennessee in a 1 p.m. CBS game.
Nov. 29 vs. Miami at home in a 1 p.m. CBS game.
The Bills will wear uniforms from the 1965 season. Eleven of the Legacy Games will be
matchups among the eight original AFL teams. Three of the others involve Miami, which joined
the AFL in 1966. The other two pit Dallas at Kansas City on Oct. 11 and Oakland at Dallas on
Nov. 26. That will be Oakland's first Thanksgiving Day game since 1970. The NFL will unveil
"legacy" merchandise for the eight AFL teams this summer.

The Bills signed long snapper Garrison Sanborn, who was among the 30 players who tried out at
the team's' rookie minicamp last weekend.
Sanborn represents a legitimate challenge to incumbent long snapper Ryan Neill, who has
held the job in Buffalo the past two seasons. Sanborn was very impressive with his snaps
during the five practices last weekend. He had good accuracy and velocity. Sanborn, 23, is a
6-foot, 240 pounder. He was the long snapper at Florida State in every game in 2006 and 2007.
Undrafted in 2008, he took part in rookie minicamp with Tampa Bay and had a tryout with
Buffalo last June.
