Team USA invites Miller
Updated: August 21, 2010, 12:15 AM
Buffalo Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller is among 34 players invited to the U. S. Olympic hockey orientation camp in preparation for next year’s Vancouver Games.
Miller is the only player on the Buffalo roster invited to the Aug. 17-19 camp in Woodridge, Ill., but the camp will have a Western New York flavor.
Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane of South Buffalo and Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Brooks Orpik of Amherst were also on the invite list.
The gathering is part of the preparation for the 2010 Winter Olympics.
