The full Buffalo Sabres training camp gets under way Saturday when the veterans report to HSBC Arena at 8 a.m. A total of 53 players are scheduled to attend this year's camp: 31 forwards, 18 defensemen and 4 goaltenders.

The Sabres will play six preseason games, including a pair at HSBC Arena. Buffalo plays the first of two preseason home games Sept. at 7 p.m. against the Washington Capitals. The Sabres close out the home portion of the preseason Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. versus Toronto.

The team opens its regular season Oct. 3 against the Montreal Canadiens.
