Updated: August 21, 2010, 8:37 AM
The Sabres Edge blog at
buffalonews.com hit another milestone Thursday when it surpassed 3 million page views.
There have been more than 1,500 posts by the Buffalo News hockey team and more than 21,000
comments on the blog since it began in March 2007. It has averaged around 3,100 page views per
day since its inception but has had far more than that on days of major news involving the
Sabres and the NHL.
The blog had its top day with more than 69,000 page views on March 4, the NHL trade deadline,
when Bucky Gleason, John Vogl and Mike Harrington hosted a live chat.
Each time a page is viewed in a browser, it constitutes a "hit," or a page view.
Sabres Edge is one of the 23 blogs available at buffalonews.com, and is one of nine done by
the sports department.
