HERE’S THE BEEF— The Erie County Committee of the American Legion Auxiliary holds a meat raffle Saturday evening in Hamburg Post 527, American Legion, at 1 Memorial Drive. Doors open at 6. First spin is at 7. Admission is $5 and includes snacks and refreshments. Proceeds help the Auxiliary’s Veterans Creative Arts Program and the Buffalo Veterans Affairs Medical Center.

SHOPPING LIST—Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 115 O’Connell Ave., in the heart of Buffalo’s Old First Ward, holds its annual Fall Bazaar from noon to 6 p. m. Saturday. Featured are a theme tray auction, games of chance, a ham dinner, baked goods and crafts for children. Rumor also has it that a special visitor from the North Pole will make an appearance between 3 and 4:30. Admission is free.

Our Lady of Hope Parish, Lafayette and Grant streets, on Buffalo’s West Side, holds its Fall Festival from 5 to 9 p. m. Saturday. Featured are an international marketplace, ethnic foods, basket and silent auctions, a meat raffle and $2,000 in prizes. Admission is $5 and includes coffee, dessert and a sheet of raffle tickets.

Col. John Weber Post 898, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2909 South Park Ave., Lackawanna, is offering $30, $40 and $50 gift certificates to area restaurants in a gift certificate raffle Sunday afternoon. Doors open at 1. First spin is at 2. Admission is $3 and includes draft beer, pop, a roast beef sandwich and door prizes.

HUNGRY?—The Orchard Park Lions Club holds a spaghetti and meatball dinner to benefit its Blind and Charity Fund from 4 to 7 p. m. Saturday in Post 567, American Legion, 3740 N. Buffalo St., Orchard Park. Dinners are $8 adults, $5 kids 5 to 12, under 5 free.

The Polish Falcons Ladies Auxiliary sponsors a BW’s chicken barbecue and chance auction starting at noon Sunday in the Depew Polish Falcons Club, 445 Columbia Ave. Tickets are $8 advance, $8.50 at the door.

RainbowKSchool, a private Catholic Montessori/Piaget school, hosts its annual spaghetti dinner from 4 to 8 p. m. Saturday in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 160 Court St., behind City Hall. Tickets are $8 advance, $8.50 at the door. For advance tickets, call Sister Mary Victoria at the school, 884-0177.

The Brant Volunteer Fire Company holds its annual spaghetti dinner starting at noon Sunday in the fire hall, 1231 Brant-Farnham Road (Route 249). Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children under 12. For info, call the fire hall at 549-3691.
