COUNTRY COOKING— Historic Colden United Methodist Church, 8795 Lower East Hill Road, will hold a fish fry starting at 4:30 p. m. Friday. Dinners are $9 adults, $6.50 kids 10 and under, and include three homemade salads, beverage, homemade rolls and pies. The Colden Country Cookbook, with historic Colden photos and recipes, also will be on sale.

NO-HASSLE HALLOWEEN— The Justinettes, the ladies auxiliary of Father Justin Council 5670, Knights of Columbus, will hold their second annual Halloween party at 7:30 p. m. Friday in their hall at 2735 Union Road, Cheektowaga. Costumes are optional. Food will be available, along with a cash bar. Music by Gary O’Boyle starts at 8. Admission is $5 advance, $6 at the door. Proceeds benefit the auxiliary’s charitable work. For info, call 662-5893.

SPOOKY SWAN SONGS —It’s the final weekend for a pair of historic haunted tours. In Westfield, a haunted house in an old storage building at Jefferson and Pearl streets is open from 7 to 9 p. m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Donation is $1 and benefits Hospice Chautauqua County. Children 8 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Refreshments are available.
The Hull Family Home and Farmstead, 5976 Genesee St. at Pavement Road, Lancaster, has a haunted barn that won’t be open again before Halloween but will offer one last chance for scares from 1 to 4 p. m. Sunday. A special tour is available for the very young and the faint of heart. Donations are welcome.

HERDING CATS—Looking for volunteers 18 and older is the Ten Lives Club cat rescue and adoption group, which needs help at its shelter in Colden. Those who have requirements to perform community service are welcome, and reliable transportation is a big plus. Volunteers are most needed between 9 a. m. and 2 p. m. seven days a week, to sweep, clean, mop, do laundry and scoop litter. For information, call 646-5577.

ROCKY ROLES—The fishnet stocking spirit of Dr. Frank N. Furter will prevail Friday night in the Riviera Theatre, 67 Webster St., North Tonawanda, in a party built around a showing of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Beginning at 9 p. m., it features a deejay, dancing, cash bar and a costume contest, along with performances by Eye Candy Burlesque and the “ladies” from Club Marcella. The movie itself screens at midnight. Tickets are $15 advance, $18 day of show.
