LOOK UP—The glories of the summer sky will be explored starting at 9 p. m. Saturday at the Penn Dixie Palentological and Outdoor Education Center off Big Tree Road in Hamburg. Telescopes with filters will view sunspots and solar flares before the sun goes down. After dark, the focus will be the first-quarter moon, Saturn, the Ring Nebula M57, Star Cluster M13 and other constellations.

Two 16-inch telescopes will be available for viewing, along with a 14-incher and two 8-inch scopes. Visitors can bring their own, too. Admission is $2. For info, call 627-4560 or visit www.penndixie.org.

ALL ABOARD!—It isn’t every day that the Rail Barons model train display is running at the Buffalo&Erie County Historical Society Museum, 25 Nottingham Court at Elmwood Avenue. Sunday, however, will be one of those days. Hours of operation are 1 to 4 p. m. The display includes more than 200 feet of track, a miniature Erie Canal lock and 100 replica historical buildings from the area.

BARGAIN BIN—The T. J. Dulski Community Center, 129 Lewis St. between Clinton and William streets, will hold a rummage sale from 9 a. m. to 6 p. m. today. Proceeds will benefit senior citizen activities.

HUNGRY?—Greek to Me Restaurant, formerly Vince’s Village Grille in the Town of Tonawanda, will hold its first Texas Hots Eating Contest at Kenmore Days in Mang Park at 7 p. m. Saturday. Contestants will compete to see who can polish off 10 Texas Hots the fastest. Prizes, trophies and cash await the three best. For entry forms and rules, visit the restaurant at 3495 Delaware Ave. or call 877-5745.

East Aurora Post 362, American Legion, hosts another Texas toast, cheese omelet and sausage breakfast from 7 a. m. to noon Sunday in its hall at Center Road and Legion Drive. Tickets are $6. An alternative menu is available.

St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Parish sponsors a chicken barbecue by Wendel’s from 1 to 4 p. m. Sunday at the Monsignor Adamski Social Center-Marian Hall, 389 Peckham St. Tickets are $8 adults, $5 kids under 5.
