FLAPS UP—Crank up the Cessna and wing on out to Akron Airport, off John Street behind Akron Central High School, between 7 a. m. and noon on Memorial Day, Monday, to join the Western New York Group of the Civil Air Patrol at its annual Pancake Breakfast. If you don’t have a plane, drive-ins and walk-ins are welcome, too.

A breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage, juice and beverage is just $5 for adults, $2.50 for kids 6 to 12. Those 5 and under are free. Hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks will be offered from noon to 1:30 p. m. Airplane rides will be available from Christian Airmen, and many planes will be on display. Visitors are invited to bring along lawn chairs to watch all the aerial activity.

For information on the Civil Air Patrol, an official volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force, call Charles Jones, 754-2005, or e-mail cbjones3@verizon.net .
