EVERYTHING MUST GO—It won’t be your usual moving sale, that sale this week at what will be the site of the new Newman Center at the University at Buffalo North Campus. What has to move is everything in the home of the Newman Center director, Monsignor J. Patrick “Father Pat” Kelleher, which stands on the property at 495 Skinnersville Road off Sweet Home Road, Amherst, where the new building will rise.

To round out the sale, chairwoman Maryann Rizzo says, people are donating collectibles and gently used items to make it a huge fundraiser. The sale runs from 5 to 9 p. m. Thursday, when admission is $5. It continues from 8 a. m. to 3 p. m. Friday and 8 a. m. to 1 p. m. Saturday, when admission is $1. It finishes from 1 to 3 p. m. Saturday with free admission and a $2 bag sale.

BLUE MOOD—Blue Thursday is the Western New York Blues Society’s once-a-month answer to the midweek doldrums. This week it presents the Bravuras from 7:30 to 9:30 p. m. Thursday in the Elks Lodge, 21 Main St., North Tonawanda, the first building you come to after you cross the Delaware Street bridge over the Erie Canal. According to Dennis Foster: “It’s free. It’s fun. It’s friendly. And most of all, it’s early.” For other blues info, visit www.wnyblues.org.
