HERDING CATS — Take your kitty for a walk — a virtual walk on the Internet — in a fun fundraising program starting today under auspices of the SPCA Serving Erie County. The SPCA PURRade visits Web sites around the world, learning how different nations care for their felines. Along the way, there will be trivia games, pictorial e-mails and a chance to set up personal Web site pages featuring you and your cat.
People with and without cats can register at any time during the walk, which continues until Feb. 26, when there will be a party and behind-the-scenes tour of the SPCA shelter on Ensminger Road in the Town of Tonawanda. There will be a variety of PURRade awards for participants and their pets.
To register or find out more, visit www.yourspca.org/purrade2009 or call 629-3532.
