FIELD TRIP — Two old friends are holding a reunion this weekend for their Buffalo elementary school class — in western Massachusetts.
Sharon Lazerson and Maxine Wisbaum were in the old “special progress” class for high-achieving students at School 66 in North Buffalo. The group entered as fifth-graders in 1958, graduated in 1962, and many entered the Bennett High School Class of 1966.
The reunion party will be at 1 p. m. Sunday, in Wisbaum’s home, 6 Willow Lane, Pittsfield, Mass. Lazerson and Wisbaum expect to see classmates from all over the East Coast. Anyone interested may e-mail sharonlazerson@gmail.com.

BEAUTY SPOT — Roswell Park Cancer Institute will benefit tonight as Elle Salon and Spa, 4729 Transit Road, Lancaster, between French Road and Clinton Street, holds an open house beginning at 6. LET’S EAT — The Zonta Club of Cheektowaga-Lancaster holds its annual spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p. m. Thursday in the Cheektowaga Senior Center, 3349 Broadway. The Olive Garden will cater; $8 for adults, $5 for kids 10 and under.
A roast pork dinner will be served from 5 to 7 p. m. Thursday in Sikora Post 1322, American Legion, 950 Payne Ave., North Tonawanda. Tickets are $7. Choice of a homemade dessert is $1.50 extra.

TRICK OR TREAT — Col. Weber Post 898, Veterans of Foreign Wars, 2909 South Park Ave., Lackawanna, hosts a Halloween party from 8 p. m. to midnight Saturday. Tickets are $15, $10 in advance if you call 825-9605. Draft beer, pop and snacks are included, along with live music by Rock Bottom and prizes for best costumes.
In Wrights Corners, the Family Dollar store is promoting a safe trick-or-treating evening for youngsters from 6 to 9 p. m. Saturday in its parking lot, 3984 Lockport-Olcott Road.
Prizes will be given for costumes in four age groups, including adults, organizer Cheryl Klein says. For info, call 439-1886.
